Winter Softball Training

With Fall sports winding down...it is time to start thinking about Winter Softball training. This Winter, the Girls Softball League of Westfield is holding Westfield Softball (WS) Winter Training at a new facility which will afford larger classes and area for instruction...The Turf at Strength and Fitness at 570 South Ave E, Cranford, NJ.

The following is an outline of the sessions that are available for Non-Travel Recreation players as well as GSLW Travel players to consider:
We are happy to announce that the Board of Directors of the GSLW has agreed once again partially subsidize the winter training program at the Turf at Strength and fitness conveniently-located indoor facility in Cranford from Nov 2nd – Mar 22nd.
Cost for each 1 Hour Session is $20.
These clinics will be run by current Westfield High School and GSLW Travel Coach, Caitlin MacDonald and current Union Catholic Varsity Coach, Colleen Spadora. They will be assisted by former WHS players, and GSLW Travel Coaches Chrissy Ferrarro, a four-year player at Cabrini University, and Cali Chambliss, who played for NJ Insanity and East Coach Elite.

***NOTE: Please limit registration to 8 batting/fielding sessions per player and 12 pitching/ catching sessions per player to allow everyone an opportunity to attend. We will open it up to more sessions per player as availability allows. ***
As a reminder, IN THE EVENT THAT A SESSION IS CLOSED, PLEASE REGISTER YOUR DAUGHTER FOR THE WAITING LIST. We often have cancellations as other sport schedules come out and usually field waiting list attendees each week.
CANCELLATION POLICY: To be credited for a future session, you must cancel your child’s winter training session 48 hours prior to the start of the session (Thursday AM) This is to ensure timely availability to waiting list attendees and to ensure our sessions are full each week.
